The RAYTC is offering a "Light up your art!" session at the Middle School Young Authors Young Artists (YAYA) conference on October 25th and 26th. It has been a BUSY summer at the RAYTC.
First, I want to thank everyone who has donated laptops, equipment and their hard-earned money to our fundraiser. In just 6 months, we have provided 62 students at 4 high schools with refurbished laptops and home internet access.
The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester is hosting their first "CoderDojo". The curriculum and instruction is all provided, but we need six volunteers each month to help the students with one-on-one attention.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We are just looking for adults who can model a desire to learn.

Dynamic ITAD is a secure recycling facility in Onalaska, WI that works with large companies that need to dispose of old hardware. They heard about the RAYTF laptop program and have just sent us 10 refurbished laptops ready to go! Thank you!
The Lourdes High School "Technocrats" is looking for a mentor.
Technovation[MN] brought the Global Technovation Challenge to Minnesota in 2014. The Technovation Challenge is the largest and longest-running global technology competition exclusively for girls to inspire the pursuit of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
The Rochester Public Schools Foundation has awarded a grant for T-Mobile Wifi HotSpots to be available for students in need at the John Marshall High School library. We are grateful for this award and look forward to helping students succeed.
A great opportunity (and stipend!) for someone that is interested in helping underrepresented kids get started at science fairs.
The Rotary Clubs of Rochester have awarded a grant to fund Wifi Hotspots for students in need! TMobile has donated hardware and we are providing refurbished laptops donated by community members.
