The First Lego League is having their annual tournament right here in Rochester next weekend (Dec 8/9). It is a real blast - more than a hundred kids pack Willow Creek Middle School and are bubbling over with excitement about showing off their robots! Mark Schleusner is looking for volunteers for all kinds of positions and most of them are non-technical. If you can't volunteer, come out and cheer on the main competition in the auditorium between 9:30 am and noon! You can see all the positions here:
The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester runs an "Hour of Code" on the second Wednesday of every month for ages 8-14. Students choose their activities and mentors simply help them when they get stuck. No coding experience is required as most activities are visual puzzles and the students usually just need help understanding the instructions.

We are looking for 3 high school students to volunteer (one or both days) from 9 am to 2 pm. Sign up is here: https://www.volunteersignup.org/7TF73 or contact us with questions!
